Indian army occupying land and houses in Bandipore

Srinagar, October 27 : A local court has directed the Indian Army  to submit reply within four weeks on the petition filed against occupation of 14 kanals of land and residential houses by the army in Bandipura.

During the hearing of the petition, the court was informed that the Indian army had been illegally occupying around 14 kanals of land and two residential houses in the Bandipura area for the last many years.

Advocate Bashir Ahmad Tak appeared before Justice Muhammad Yaqoob for petitioners Ghulam Rasul Reshi and Nabi Reshi. The counsel for the petitioners informed the court that his clients had been rendered homeless following the occupation of their houses by the army.

After hearing the petition, Justice Muhammad Yaqoob directed the army to submit reply on the petition within four weeks. news agenceis
